Check-list for Product Managers
The product manager is responsible for keeping the project's Pulse up to date and ready for client and investor visits at all times. This guide helps PMs focus on what matters most when working with Pulse.
Daily Jira/Linear activities reflected in Pulse
- Create releases and assign tasks/features/improvements to them once you understand the release scope (ideally 1-2 sprints in advance).
- If tasks are added to or removed from a release, make the change in Jira/Linear first and Pulse's Tasks board will update accordingly.
- Tasks that shouldn't appear on the Pulse Tasks board should be labeled "no-roadmap" in Jira/Linear.
Daily Pulse activities
- Make sure each team member sends their daily update. Send reminders if someone forgets.
Weekly Pulse activities
- Send a weekly project update with the project's weekly status.
- Prepare a release changelog and use it in place of written release notes shared with the client at the end of each sprint.
- Track that all issues assigned to current and future releases have estimations (pulled from Jira/Linear).
- Check that bug/task/feature naming follows the convention described here.
